How To Set A Specific Goal For Exercise

Some exercises allow you to set a distance, calories or time goal. Swipe right to left from the main home screen > select Exercise > swipe across to the exercise you want to do and tap on it. If the Set Goal feature is available it will be below the start option. Tap on Set Goal and select which goal you want.

How To Add Symptoms To Female Health Tracking

You can add various systems to the female health tracking element of the Fitbit app, such as headaches, cramps, fluids, flow intensity and sex. Setting Up And Using The Inspire 2

You’ll need to download the app before setting up the Inspire 2, and create a Fitbit account if you don’t already have one. If you already have a Fitbit account, tap your profile image, select Set Up a Device, select the Inspire 2 from the list, then follow the on-screen instructions.

During the setup process, you’ll need to enter a four-digit code that appears on the Inspire 2’s display, into the app. Once it’s set up, the app offers an overview of the Inspire’s main features, how to change the band, and how to navigate its interface. The entire process only takes about 10 minutes.

To get calls, texts, and app notifications on the Inspire 2, go to your phone’s settings menu, tap Bluetooth, tap the information icon next to your device, and enable Share System Notifications. Then, from the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Inspire 2 > Notifications, and toggle on the ones you want to receive.

After going through these steps, app notifications successfully came though on my Inspire 2 test unit, but it never alerted me for calls or texts. Fitbit says the Inspire 2 needs to be within 30 feet of your phone to receive notifications, but that wasn’t the problem. I’m not sure what caused the issue, because I checked my settings several times and the Inspire 2 never showed call and text notifications, even when my phone was in close range.

Love Wearing Your Fitbit In A Clip

If you prefer to wear your Fitbit in a clip during the day, make sure you place your Fitbit on your wrist and change its setting to on-wrist to capture sleep data when you prepare for bedtime.

If you dont care about your sleep stage information, then you can continue to wear your Fitbit on a clip throughout the day and night.

Just remember that your sleep information will only include time spent asleep, awake, and restless.

How To See Sleep Tracking Data

  • In the morning, open the app. Go to the Today view, selecting from the bottom, left of the main dashboard.
  • Pull down on the page to refresh and sync the app with your tracker. Do this until you see a sleep duration show up under the section that shows the image of the moon and a letter Z. It might take a few tries to sync successfully.
  • Tap on the icon with the moon image and letter Z .
  • At the top, you’ll see a graph showing your Sleep Score for the last seven days, a score that calculates how much time you slept versus was awake, how much deep and REM sleep you got, and your heart rate and restlessness through the night.
  • Swipe left on that graph to see how many hours you slept every night for the last seven days.
  • Swipe left again to see how your actual sleep schedule measures up based on your target sleep schedule.
  • Select Today on the bottom half of the screen, which will show the time you fell asleep and woke up, total hours of sleep, Score, and assessment, from Excellent to Poor.
  • Scroll down to see how many minutes or hours you spent Awake, REM, Light, and Deep sleep a bar chart shows this as well. You can also see the exact times spend in each sleep state.

  • Scroll further down to see your estimated oxygen variation to detect if there were any high variations, which can signal breathing issues.
  • Scroll back up to the Summary and select the 30 Day Avg tab to see the average percentage of time you spend in each sleep state nightly over the last month.

    This cannot only show the time that you were in the various sleep phases during that day , but also some comparison data.

    How To Select And Start A Specific Exercise On Your Fitbit Charge 2

    Push the button on the left of your Fitbit Charge 2 until you get to the exercise option, which will be Run by default unless you change it. Tap below the display to flick through the various exercises, which include run, weights, treadmill, workout, elliptical, bike and interval workout, by default.

    To force your Fitbit activity tracker to sync, click on the Account tab in the top left corner of the Today tab > Tap on your activity tracker > Scroll down until you see ‘Sync Now’. You will also see All-Day Sync above it, which if you turn on ensures your Fitbit syncs automatically.

    If you are still struggling to get your Fitbit to sync, try turning Bluetooth on and off on your smartphone, and you can try closing the Fitbit app and reopening it too.

    How To Update Your Fitbit

    Whether its been weeks or months since you initially set up your device, keep your Fitbit updated to optimize its resources and keep bugs in check. Before getting started, make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your paired phone or tablet. Then, follow the directions below to update your device.

  • With your charged Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app on your paired device and tap on the Today tab. Tap on the Account icon, then tap the image of your device.

    Even though Fitbit is a brilliant gadget and really useful as a health tool, it does have certain limitations. For example, it wont automatically keep track of naps shorter than one hour, since thats the default resting period that will activate the automated readings. If youre adept of short naps and you want to capture all your sleep stats, you will have to remember to activate sleep mode manually whenever you lie down.

    Manually Adjusting The Fitbits Sleep Log

    Alternatively, you can use the Fitbit app to start and stop sleep tracking if your Fitbit isnt automatically logging your sleep.

    You can also make changes to your sleep log at any time if it is inaccurate. Here are the directions:

  • In the Fitbit app, select the Sleep tile.
  • Choose the night you want to edit.
  • Tap on the three dots.
  • Select the option to edit.
  • Adjust the times you went to sleep and/or woke up.
  • Press Save.
  • If you prefer not to worry about your Fitbit automatically tracking your sleep, you can manually log your sleep in the Fitbit app or your Fitbit account. However, this is not a preferred option because you dont get any information about your sleep patterns or sleep stages when logging your sleep manually.
