There is no definitive test that can diagnose RLS. The diagnosis is made based on your symptoms, however, there are many tests that your healthcare provider may recommend to attempt to find the cause of your RLS.     Since there is no specific test for RLS, the condition is diagnosed by a doctors evaluation. The five basic criteria for clinically diagnosing the disorder are:
