Sleep Data Is Displayed On The Wearable Device But The Huawei Trusleep Data Is Unable To Be Synced To The Huawei Health App

  • Enable HUAWEI TruSleep as follows: Open the Huawei Health app, touch Devices and the connected device, go to Health monitoring> HUAWEI TruSleep, and enable HUAWEI TruSleep.
  • Then wear your wearable device before going to sleep and try syncing data again.
  • If the issue persists, perform the following operations:
  • Open HUAWEI AppGallery and update the Huawei Health app to the latest version. Update the wearable device to the latest version.
  • Turn on your device’s screen then swipe down on the home screen of the Huawei Health app to sync data.
  • Due to the large size of the HUAWEI TruSleep data, it will take quite a while to sync data. Swipe down on the home screen of the app and wait a few minutes.
  • Currently, only sleep data that is longer than 3 hours can be counted as TruSleepTM data. Sleep data that is shorter than 3 hours will be counted as naps.
  • HUAWEI TruSleep works based on the analysis of your heart rate. If you are wearing the device too loosely or tightly while you are asleep, your wearable device may be unable to collect your heart rate data. It will therefore be unable to sync data to the Huawei Health app. We recommend that you adjust the strap of the device to fit your wrist properly before sleeping.
  • When your heart rate is too slow, too fast, or has an irregular pace, HUAWEI TruSleep may not work and sleep data may not be able to be synced to the Huawei Health app. If this is the case, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
  • Why Is This Blog About How Does Samsung Health Know When I Sleep Important

As we have discussed, the Samsung Health app can determine if you are sleeping if your phone/smartwatch may have an accelerometer sensor built-in, which is very sensitive and if it is placed in your bed to record your movements throughout the night. However, remember that for some phones to track your sleep it is not necessary to leave the phone in bed at all. You can simply leave it where you usually do before going to sleep.

Finally, after you have set your Samsung Health app to track your sleep or to know when you are sleeping, it is pretty much done automatically so you dont have to do anything else. As we have mentioned, the app will usually start recording 30 minutes after you have gone to sleep .

    How We Picked And Tested

When it comes to sleep-tracking apps, its easy to get caught up in the functional details. But the ultimate goal isnt to track your sleep perfectly its to track trends in your sleep so that you can better understand and improve it. To make that happen, several other features are also crucial in a tracking app. Heres what we looked for in the apps, in order of importance:

It was impossible to test all of the sleep apps on the iTunes store and Google Play, so we started by choosing the most downloaded apps that also had ratings of more than four out of five stars. Then we confirmed that in addition to keeping our data secure, the apps could export that data . We also sent out a few emails to customer support to see how responsive the companies were. In the end, we selected four apps to test: Pillow, Sleep as Android, Sleep Cycle, and SleepScore.

In 2018, Joanne spent eight days testing all four apps at the same time , and tested some of them individually for a few days. She also compared the four apps while wearing fitness bands and a couple of apps on the Apple Watch on the same wrist, to find out if buying a phone app is necessary if you already have a wearable fitness tracker.

The apps presented the results, as you can see here from one typical night, in a variety of ways.

    Can Magnesium Help You Sleep

Additional magnesium in your diet has the potential to help you sleep better. While researchers recognize that magnesium plays an important role in sleep regulation, they do not fully understand the effect of magnesium on sleep behaviors.

Whats clear from the research is that a lack of magnesium negatively impacts sleep. A serious shortage of magnesium in the body is rare. However, some of the signs of insufficient magnesium in your diet are muscle weakness and tiredness. Low levels of magnesium are associated with poor sleep quality and insomnia. Anxiety and depression also correlate with low magnesium levels, and both anxiety and depression can contribute to insomnia.

How Motion Is Used To Track Sleep

Lets just walk through the sleep stages, and look at how we move during the various stages.

Awake: When we are awake, we typically move our arms frequently. When we stop moving our arms as much, and we have them in different position, this indicates that we may be asleep.

This does occasionally get mistaken and sleep tracking will start when a person is awake. For example, someone working at a desk may be very still with one arm, and have their arm in a similar position to when they are laying down.

Stage 1 & 2: Stage 1 and Stage 2 are very similar. We are in a light sleep, and are more likely to move around. However, are motions arent as controlled as when we are awake.

Stage 3: We are in a deep sleep for stage 3. We barely move at all, if any, during this phase of sleep.

REM: REM sleep is similar to stage 3 in terms of movement. Its slightly different though because the brain actually turns off the nerves that control our large muscle groups. We are practically paralyzed, even though are brain has become more active in this sleep phase.

Knowing that information, Samsung can determine if you are awake by if you are moving and your motions are controlled. They can determine you are in a mostly light sleep by somewhat less motion and how controlled it is. Deep sleep and REM sleep are characterized by a lack of motion.

    • Go to Settings or Phone Manager to add the Huawei Health app to the list of protected background apps. It is recommended that you open the Huawei Health app, go to Me> Settings> Notification management, and enable Show step count in notification panel to prevent the app from being cleared from the background.
    • If you have added the app to the list of protected background apps but the app still cannot sync data, this issue may have occurred because the phone clears the Huawei Health app from the background in order to lower power consumption and increase the operating speed. We recommend that you open the Huawei Health app more frequently or report this issue to your phone’s manufacturer.
    • Check whether you have installed other phone manager apps. If so, add the Huawei Health app to the list of protected background apps in these phone manager apps.
    • For Huawei phones running Android 4.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later, the Huawei Health app is added to the trustlist by default. However, since 2021, manual configuration is required if you are using a new Honor phone model.
    • The method of adding an app to the list of protected background apps varies depending on the phone model. For details, contact the corresponding phone manufacturer.
    • If the issue persists, contact the Huawei customer service hotline for the issue to be handled by Huawei R& D engineers.
